Shadowed an ABA consultant and observed students in 6 ASD Special Education classes in 6 different schools across Hamilton. Collected data on disrusptive behaviour/s of students and shared observation and intervention plans with teachers. Actively participated in training with teachers of ASD classrooms on ABA principles. Wrote, Implemented Individual’s Intervention Plan and Collected Data for a learner under the supervision the ABA consultant.
Shadowed and observed the lead therapist deliver individualized therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Actively Participated in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss learner’s progress and treatment plan. Implemented Individual’s Intervention Plan for learner under the supervision of the Instructional Therapist focusing on behavior, social skills, communication and academics. Collected data to monitor learner’s progress of intervention plan during therapy session. Engaged in professional development opportunities to further understand autism spectrum disorders and therapeutic interventions.
