These tasks involve market analysis, searching for new suppliers, handling complaints regarding the supply of raw materials and packaging, consultant procurement, and logistics in the process of implementing SAP. The role requires managing risks associated with highly volatile raw materials, revising the supplier-product portfolio to approve new innovative sources while respecting quality and supply chain requirements, tendering and negotiating key raw material contracts in an international environment, having in-depth knowledge of vegetable oil derivatives and synthetic raw materials and their relationship to the global economy, and defining and presenting cost pricing to sales teams as well as pricing strategy for certain commodities.
