• Conduct behavioral box experiments to assess visual function and neurodevelopment in mouse models • Collect, organize, and document behavioral data for ongoing studies on eye development • Support experimental workflows under the supervision of senior researchers and lab leadership
• Conduct comprehensive mice husbandry, including breeding, weaning, ear tagging/ear clipping, and health monitoring for genetically modified mouse colonies. • Perform DNA extraction and genotyping to identify and validate transgenic lines, using PCR, gel electrophoresis, and imaging techniques. • Maintain accurate and detailed digital records of mouse colonies, genotypes, and experimental procedures to ensure reproducibility and compliance with protocols. • Collaborate with researchers and lab staff to support ongoing experiments and ensure the welfare of animals under IACUC guidelines.
