A two year-long fellowship role involving the creation and maintenance of a new online database for forensic linguistics.
Manages a team of 15 diverse undergraduate students. Plans and facilities: Weekly meetings with 15 undergraduate students and faculty; Monthly advisory board meetings with various academic faculty; One-on-one meetings with undergraduate students. Supports and advises student initiatives. Coordinates with other student organizations, faculty, and community organizations to create and run events.
Coordinated with a range of external community partners over email and phone to assess their need for student assistance according to department standards. Used research and analysis skills to recommend improvement to our department in the area of community partnerships. Maintained contact with representatives from community organizations to provide information about procedures, to clarify problem areas, and to facilitate the flow of information. Received a promotion to Graduate Assistant for On-Campus Events and Civic Literacy for the Fall 2020 semester.
