I am a 2020 graduate of Wichita State University. I majored in the field of communication with an emphasis in journalism and minored in sport management. I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere Kansas, and I hope to one day turn my small-town dreams into a big-city reality. Upon graduating college, I began work as the western Kansas bureau reporter for KSNTV out of Wichita. After more than a year in the field sharing stories about the people and places I grew up loving, I decided to make a life change and use my skills to potentially create a bigger impact on my local community. In June 2021, I began working toward a Master of Science in Education graduate degree, and in August 2021, I started my new role at Dodge City High School as an audio/video production teacher. I completed my graduate degree in May 2023 and am currently in my fourth year of teaching. I adore my career, my students, and being able to bring my love of communication and journalism to the classroom. Even so, I am always looking to learn new things, improve my skills, and better myself in my field. In my free time away from school, I love to spend time on the lake slalom skiing with my family or helping out with calving season on the family farm.
