Furniture and Sustainability Expert | TÜV Rheinland I have spent 30 years at TÜV Rheinland LGA, gaining extensive insights into the furniture industry through various roles. Whether as an expert in the testing laboratory, in the certification of furniture according to national and international standards, as an on-site auditor, or in the development and implementation of new services with and for the furniture industry – as a trained wood and plastic technician, I always keep current developments and challenges in mind. As the Head of the Furniture Department, I have passionately focused on the sustainability of furniture for nearly fifteen years, driven by a deep conviction. For example, TÜV Rheinland played a key role in the development of the European Level Program, the sustainability label of the European Office Furniture Federation (FEMB). Furthermore, as the current Global Head of the Technical Competence Center for Furniture, I engage as a sustainability expert in various committees, including the standardization of "Circularity of Furniture" (CEN and DIN).
