Since joining Zalando in 2015, he has been instrumental in establishing and scaling Zalando Payments GmbH into one of Europe's largest BAFIN-regulated e-money institutions, specializing in cutting-edge platform business solutions. Leading an international team of 250 employees, Kai drives innovation and operational excellence in both consumer and partner-focused payment solutions. With over 20 years of experience, Kai's career includes significant leadership roles at Europcar Germany and Bertelsmann/Riverty, where he most recently served as Managing Director of Billing and Payments. His expertise lies in strategic leadership, digital transformation, product, finance and regulatory compliance. Kai holds a degree in Business Administration from the Dresden Business School of Economics, underpinning his strong foundation in business management and financial strategy.
