Working on multiple marine construction projects provided significant practical experience which inspired me to proceed with my studies and do a M.Sc. with a focus on geotechnical engineering. For my master thesis I investigated the life cycle carbon footprint of alternative quay wall designs for a port construction project. (download the thesis by copy and pasting the following URL into your browser: https://fenix.tecnico.ulisboa.pt/cursos/mec/dissertacao/1128253548922147) I build on my practical experience to solve various geotechnical and civil engineering problems inorder to provide optimal and efficient solutions.
Executing Master Thesis in conjunction with Inros-Lackner SE Bremen: My Master Thesis consisted of developing alternative outline designs for a quay wall construction project and then doing a Carbon Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment using SimaPro to determine the carbon footprint of the various designs. Concurrently one day per week as a student assistant, responsibilities included: - Assisting with the interpretation of geotechnical ground investigation - Assisting with the assessment of a time claim
