Hi, I’m Aleena! I’m currently completing my fourth year at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, with an expected graduation in May 2027. I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with an interest in HR and analytics. I bring experience across both the mining and energy sectors, including 16 months at Teck Resources as a Talent Management Intern and four months at Canadian Natural Resources Limited as a Campus Recruitment Intern, supporting people-focused initiatives and gaining exposure to different areas of HR. I’ve also been actively involved in student organizations like the Commerce Undergraduate Society, Code the Change YYC, and Women in Business, where I’ve developed strong leadership and collaboration skills. • Supporting recruitment reporting and data tracking to monitor hiring metrics, timelines, and candidate pipelines • Assisting recruitment advisors with candidate pre-screens, candidate tracking, and hiring coordination ensuring seamless hiring processes across multiple student and internship programs • Lead the coordination and management of promotional materials for campus career fairs and recruitment events, including inventory tracking and distribution • Oversee career fair registrations, invoicing, and vendor coordination, ensuring timely payments, accurate documentation, and adherence to internal procurement processes
• Manage tasks within Succession, Performance Management, and Calibration systems using PeopleCentral. • Develop and maintained process documentation to enhance efficiency in talent management workflows. • Consolidate Canada’s Top 100 Employers application by engaging stakeholders across multiple sites nationwide to collect, validate, and consolidate data into a cohesive application, securing an award for the ninth consecutive year. • Lead a team of 14-21 co-op students to improve engagement initiatives as part of the Student Experience Committee, planning more than 12 events across 4 sites. • Analysed succession planning data across 100+ roles to identify readiness gaps, high-risk positions, and leadership coverage risks. • Create a SharePoint site for HRBP’s to access all Performance and Succession Planning process in a central location
