Over 12 years at Knorr-Bremse, I moved from development engineering into project leadership, applying systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making. I lead international and interdisciplinary development projects for complex mechatronic products from requirements through to industrialization across mechanics, electronics, and software.
Leading development projects for mechatronic air brake systems across the full product lifecycle — from requirements clarification through validation, industrialization, PPAP, and customer approval. Responsible for coordinating all disciplines involved in development and series production, ensuring alignment between technical execution, timing, and commercial framework conditions. Core Responsibilities -Manage cross-functional project execution from concept to series release -Own change request evaluation and implementation, including technical impact and production transition -Maintain project transparency for management decisions, balancing scope, effort, risk, and timing -Coordinate supplier-related topics, including tooling and PPAP readiness -Ensure structured information flow between engineering, production, and technical sales for customer-related matters -Track documentation completeness at each milestone, highlighting deviations or constraints and recommending next steps
Worked on series mechatronic brake products with focus on VA/VE and quality improvements. Took over full R&D product responsibility from the German team - managing the transition without disruption to series production. Core Responsibilities - Drove cost reduction and product improvements through VA/VE initiatives - Supported engineering and production teams in resolving technical issues and improving quality - Moderated Design-FMEA sessions for safety-critical mechatronic systems, supporting structured risk identification and mitigation. - Coordinated with internal teams and suppliers to maintain production continuity under unexpected challenges
Design experiences in small-series and custom made industrial furnaces - Adaptation of existing designs to new applications - Technical support for creating RfQs - Assembly of electric parts of furnaces
Long-term Vechicle Test of Quality department - Fleet management - Creating timeplans for variation of tests - Supporting in coordination of Action Management
