About

Change Management is a cultural thing : either you embrace it, or you fight against it. Change Management has always been a key success factor in : Corporate transformation, disruptive technologies, product launches, and restructuring in a fast-paced moving hi-tech industry. In the past, a successful new service launch needed a decent market study, strong product Management, and all kinds of classroom/face-to-face training sessions (sales, technical, processes/back-office). But we now know that training is a major key success factor at all steps, and is used more and more with self/e -learning combined with efficient and interactive webinars (eg AMA). Today, Service has evolved towards a more customer-centric approach, and the best digital approach is based on User eXperience (customer journey). Whether a formal Program/Project Management style is needed or a fast/agile approach, success depends on the goal and furthermore on the people you are assigning to this project. It is important to remember that CXOs need to lead by doing, not delegating and to collaborate with other C-level players in order to achieve success. I believe Change Management and consulting are all about finding wilingness in people, giving them the right tools to allow them to learn and accomplish their goals themselves. This ensures they get results quickly and overcome showstoppers. It's all about Corporate Culture. And Cultural differences in general. For example, the French and German approaches to punctuality, or pramgmatic versus intellectual presentations. AI is about to change the world just like the Internet did. Real-time translation, fake news detection, intelligent (context based) chat-bots are already taking over. The other fast growing revolution is blockchain technology, which allows decentralised trusted exchanges and certification. Change Management relies on all of the above factors, and the ability to develop using an agile approach. However, there is always something unexpected that this will pop up in any new project. Try and use this as an opportunity for another great idea and success.
