• Oversight of collaborations with external partners, including management of joint governance activities, implementation of key collaboration initiatives, conflict resolution, and tracking of contractual obligations. - Clinical, commercial, and research/discovery collaborations, licensing, sponsored research, etc. - Partners include pharmaceutical/biotech companies, VC firms, academic/non-profit organizations. • Serve as alliance single point of contact, working closely across internal functions, senior leadership, and partner counterparts to manage and advance joint goals and deliverables. • Participation and support/lead business development and deal/license transaction activities. • Ensure clear alignment, cooperation, and communication between internal and external stakeholders, senior/executive leadership, and across functions (Legal, Finance, BD, CMC, scientific functions, etc.). • Strong history of building trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and leadership, favorably influence without direct authority.
Business Development Operations • Perform market/industry/financial/client pipeline analyses to identify new potential commercial opportunities, aid proposal development, and support in long-term engagement strategy planning. • Gather and synthesize cross-functional information across a variety of sources to turn unstructured issues and requests into actionable plans and deliverables. • Monitor and manage progression of projects/proposals/contracts through multiple stages to ensure proper execution, advancement through milestones, and alignment between stakeholders (i.e., legal, finance, scientific/consulting practice areas, etc.). • Identify areas for improvement; design and execute on projects geared towards improving operational efficiency. • Provide operational support on negotiations of Master Service Agreements, confidentiality agreements, pricing, project contracts, etc. • Engage in client-facing activities (i.e., triage incoming opportunities, respond to requests, connect with internal personnel, provide data analysis, etc.). • Remote position from Seattle, requiring close collaboration and alignment with global stakeholders, including colleagues and clients on the East Coast and in Europe.
Dept. of Immuno-Oncology • Developed, optimized, scaled, and executed primary cell based, functional assays to support characterization of various compounds on immune function (regulatory T-cell assays, antigen recalls assays, CFSE-labeled proliferation assays, mixed lymphocyte reactions, etc.). • Extensive experience with flow cytometry/cytometry equipment (BD LSR II, BD Fortessa, iQue, Accuri, Sony SH800 Cell Sorter). • Extensive analysis and communication of complex data, results, and recommendations to stakeholders, collaborators, and senior leaders (i.e., multi-parameter flow cytometry/ICS, cytokine release/MSD/Luminex analysis, ELISpot assays, etc). • Supported the build-out and establishment of new satellite site, including assessment of capital equipment and technology needs, interfacing with project managers and contractors, meeting with vendors, etc. • Identified/evaluated services, companies, products, and technologies to support new and existing programs. • Developed and executed multiple projects concurrently to characterize immune function of early stage assets. • Obtained MBA at Seattle University while at Celgene full-time.
Dept. of Discovery Immunology • Supported initiation and expansion of drug discovery programs, including large scale screening platforms with inflammation focus. • Developed, optimized, scaled, and executed primary cell based, functional assays. • Trained colleagues on experimental methodologies and write/author SOPs. • Analyzed and presented data across departments and project teams. • Obtained Master’s at University of Washington while at Novo Nordisk full-time.
HIV Vaccine Trials Network • Perform in-vitro assays on samples collected from HIV candidate vaccine clinical trials to assess efficacy and functional immunological characteristics/effects. • Perform quality control and extensive data/FACS analysis. • Trouble-shooting and maintenance of LSR II Flow Cytometers. • Review/author/contribute to writing of Standard Operating Procedures. • GLP regulated laboratory setting.
