Develop, establish and lead education and research in GeoHealth. GeoHealth is essential for a healthy planet, healthy population and healthy food. We take an integrated approach to health that includes identifying and understanding health risks and outcomes in relation to the environment that may be driven by natural changes, anthropogenic changes and changes brought about by disasters AS WELL AS thinking about solutions in how to RESPOND for equity, awareness and policy change AND what to COMMUNICATE. Projects include -enhancing geospatial skills in health professionals through online credited education -data structures and communication. Interactive webmaps for notifiable disease reporting for the EU. -climate change effects on health. Extreme weather events such as flooding and heat and the short-term and long-term health effects. Topics include infectious diseases, social and mental health impacts, vulnerable populations, migration and warnings and communication. -Mapping of vector-borne diseases - malaria, Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) -Mapping of odors and how this relates to air quality and exposures -Mapping inequalities in services ranging from health services to essential infrastructures and services.
