Main Duties & Responsibilities: - • Responsible for overseeing Sleepwear and Loungewear design. • Develop, design trends for key accounts and work closely with buyers. • Working consistently with in a team of designers, reporting to the design manager and sales team. • Responsibility for overseeing samples through to production. • On going Trend analysis for key trends and keeping up to date with all new product competition. • Working to customer briefs as well as designing own in-house ranges. • Fabric sourcing and development Mood, colour and trend direction presentation boards. • Trend research, concept designs, line drawings technical packs. • Precise technical packs and artworks, created on illustrator and Photoshop. • Daily communication with overseas sample room and factories in China, Cambodia, Bangladesh. • Inspirational shopping trips to L.A. and Europe. • Made and built ongoing relationships with buyers and vendors • Experience with a fast-paced commercial fashion supplier to trend led fashion retailers on sleepwear and loungewear product. • Knowledge of Adobe programs (Photoshop/ Illustrator/ CLO). • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels. • Used to presenting to buyers with the ability to build sound commercial relationships. • Managing assistant designer.
Specialising in shape and trend across multiple jersey/ woven product areas. Including womenswear nightwear, loungewear , jersey tops, going out dresses, beachwear & cut & sew. Producing detailed technical packs for factories and sample rooms to ensure buyers receive a high- quality sample - Liaising on daily basis with buyers / designers. Frequent trips to Far-East for sourcing and development with buyer in Guangzhou and Hangzhou Liaising with factories on daily basis with China, India, and Bangladesh Establishing and growing strong relationships with buyers and suppliers Jersey/Woven fabric knowledge Commercial eye and trend led handwriting.
