About

Justin is the President of Cengage Work. Cengage Work is a fast-growing digital business focused on helping people build and protect their careers—across tech, skilled trades, and adult learning. Justin is also a Senior Advisor, Board Member, Member of C-Next, and Founder of Transformation Advisors LLC. Prior to these roles, Justin served as the Chief Transformation & Strategy Officer at McGraw Hill where he led the company's highly successful transformation, tripling (+3x) its enterprise value. McGraw Hill is now one of the largest digital education companies in the world with digital growth and margins consistently surpassing its peers. At McGraw Hill, Justin was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's transformation, focusing on revenue and cost levers including go-to-market, content, product, data and various back-office functions. Justin’s transformation programs resulted in a $210M EBITDA impact, earning recognition for ‘outstanding digital transformation results’ by credit agencies such as Fitch & Moody’s. Justin also conceived and led the launch of the SaaS platform called SHARPEN described by the WSJ and Forbes as a blend of TikTok and a college textbook. SHARPEN reached 1M learners in a year of launch. SHARPEN is now used by learners across the country and is a featured Apple app. As part of Justin’s M&A leadership, he oversaw all aspects of the deal lifecycle. During Justin’s tenure, McGraw Hill closed and integrated six transactions including a K12 data services provider, a K12 supplemental learning software company, K12 core curriculum, a Higher Education learning simulation provider, and a medical knowledge services platform. Justin's impact was underpinned through his Corporate Strategy leadership where he positioned McGraw Hill to meet the evolving needs of its customers. Justin led the company through private/public market entry and exits, private sale processes and deal-entry value creation plans & investor updates. Before joining McGraw Hill, Justin was one of five founding members of EY’s Oceania Strategy practice. Justin led consulting teams across the Asia-Pacific region including Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Melbourne and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
