About

I’ve been in the workforce for over two decades, currently working in the food and beverage manufacturing industry as a Senior Process and Packaging Engineer. Over the past 18+ years, I’ve designed packaging lines and developed AutoCAD plant layouts for major CPG manufacturers, supporting capital projects from concept through installation. My work centers around packaging line design, equipment integration, and manufacturing systems that improve production flow within complex facilities. I’ve worked directly with global brands such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola, Mars Wrigley, Unilever, Clorox, and PepsiCo — designing layouts around fillers, conveyors, labeling systems, case packers, cartoners, and palletizing systems. I operate comfortably between client collaboration and technical execution, translating production needs into practical, constructible plant layouts. I approach engineering the same way I approach everything else in life — disciplined, focused, and committed to continuous improvement. I value practical design, clear communication, and building systems that work not just on paper, but on the plant floor.

  • Sr. Mechanical/Project Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller Design Group
    Apr 2008 - May 2026 · 18 yrs 2 mos

When I started at Design Group in 2008, I was brought on primarily for AutoCAD mechanical layout and design work. As my experience grew, my role expanded into the full lifecycle of capital manufacturing projects — supporting efforts from early concept and design through installation and commissioning. In 2015 I relocated to the Design Group office in San Antonio, TX (now back in Missouri) to help grow and support projects across the southern region, including Dallas and Houston. During that time I contributed to engineering proposal layouts, developed detailed AutoCAD plant layouts and working drawings, created scopes of work, and built installation packages used by clients and contractors during construction and startup. My work focuses heavily on packaging line design and food & beverage manufacturing systems, integrating equipment such as fillers, conveyors, labeling systems, case packers, cartoners, and palletizers within complex plant layouts. I also occasionally support field installation and construction coordination from a mechanical standpoint for projects of various sizes. I collaborate closely with Partners, Directors, Project Managers, fellow engineers, and client teams to translate production requirements into practical, constructible manufacturing layouts.
