Transportation impacts us all. It connects us, it frustrates us, and it creates opportunity. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I help my neighbors understand and engage with the complex projects happening around them. Right now at the Seattle Department of Transportation, I lead public engagement for the City’s once-in-a-generation investment in bridge infrastructure. I also support a range of transit, micromobility, and pedestrian safety projects. On a typical day, you might find me coordinating construction notices, building tools to organize project communications, or helping community members understand what’s happening and why it matters. Across my work, one interest has stayed consistent: making systems work better for people through communication, planning, and process improvement. With experience in capital project delivery, public policy, and student leadership development, I’m most energized by work that connects strategy and data to make an impact. Outside of my day job, I’ve been involved with Kiwanis for over a decade, supporting organizational development, strengthening partnerships, and working with student leaders across six states and provinces in the U.S. and Canada. I’m always up for connecting with others working in community-focused roles, especially those making visions come to life through equitable and meaningful engagement, facilitation, strategy, and data collection.
Currently leading communications and public engagement strategy for 25 levy-funded bridge planning, preservation, and replacement projects throughout the city. Supporting RapidRide J Line delivery and various other micromobility and pedestrian safety projects.
Managed invoicing, tracking, and reconciliation for up to 23 concurrent capital and bus rapid transit projects Developed 11 SOPs outlining Capital Development budget, procurement, and contracting procedures Managed the Park & Pool Program, including leasing and maintenance at 14 sites across Snohomish County
Evaluated financial, cultural, and technical challenges impeding fleet electrification at SDOT and throughout the City. Authored a fleet sustainability report detailing strategies to reduce annual GHG emissions at SDOT by 72% by 2030, including data visualizations and diesel conversion tactics.
Supported development of the Connect SoCal regional plan by creating literature reviews and analyses of: coworking facilities, vehicle electrification, economic development, microtransit planning, and fleet management. Analyzed regional trends and planning strategies from Local Data Exchange survey of 90+ cities; edited final report.
Integrated data for and developed a map of ADS and county-funded human services using Tableau software. Produced written analyses of telehealth efficacy, housing advocacy, and hate crime prevention in the Seattle area. Conducted multilingual business and community outreach for Age Friendly Seattle discount programs and webinars.
