People are not complicated. They are complex systems. I believe the future of human performance lies in understanding people as integrated systems rather than isolated parts. My work explores how biological, cognitive, psychological, environmental, and organizational factors interact to shape decision-making, resilience, performance, safety, and risk. As a People & Systems Scientist, I integrate human factors, applied psychology, systems science, cognitive science, and human performance to better understand how people adapt and perform within increasingly complex environments. Rather than searching for isolated solutions, I examine the relationships between people, technology, and systems to identify the constraints that influence human capability and organizational outcomes. As a Senior Human Factors Analyst at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, I support safety-critical human-system integration for human spaceflight programs, where workload, decision-making, system design, and human performance directly influence mission success. As a parent, I recognized that our education system is not evolving at the pace of technology. That realization led me to co-found Avalon AI Club, a community-based learning space where the next generation develops a thoughtful, ethical, and empowered relationship with artificial intelligence. Whether supporting human spaceflight, improving complex systems, or preparing the next generation for the age of AI, my mission remains the same: To elevate human capability through systems thinking, scientific rigor, and intelligent design.
