Working on Azure Core Office of the CTO team
Worked on the Azure Control Plane: Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) experience team. Key responsibilities included: - Led the development of a new Azure offering to allow scheduling of vm actions at scale. - Support services to improve concurrent actions in a large set of VMs while minimizing throttling and optimizing operation success and latency.
Worked on the Control Plane Optimization team. Key responsibilities included: - Rearchitect Azure Compute control plane to enable new customer scenarios. - Evaluate, design and implement publisher/subscriber technologies integration with Azure Control plane, improving control plane throughput and minimizing coupling. - Point of Contact for security artifact handling for Azure Compute Control plane, working on projects to minimize secrets/certificates exposure across the stack. - Integrate a new set of services to improve VM allocation success rate.
IoT Flows is a two-year collaboration project financed by the NSF and RNP, involving the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA), University of Michigan (USA) and Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Brazil). The project researches about IoT devices security, focusing on detecting threats using the network data flow. Developed an IDS system based on Complex Event Processing. Studied and implemented the trendy existing IoT security breaches. Used OpenWrt, Golang, Java
One of the founders of the robotic group RoboCIn - UFPE, a group that aims to build robotic systems and apply them in competitions. Over the years contributed was a major contributor to our system for the LARC - IEEE Very Small Size Competition, a competition of robots playing soccer in a 170x150cm field. Developed Computer Vision and IA algorithms and lead several architectural decisions in our software. This work led us to many prizes over the years (see honors section) and lead to one published paper, which I am 3rd author.
Summer Job is a CESAR program that aims to provide students with hands-on experience, identify talents and provide a quick experimentation environment for sponsoring companies. A problem is proposed by the sponsor who will have opportunity to get proposals for innovative solutions to real and current problems of his company. During 6 weeks of the holiday period students will be challenged to understand a problem, define a solution, prototype and validate their choice.
The Apple Developer Academy aims to teach students to identify and solve real world problems with innovative ideas that can impact people real life using Apple's platform.
