- Genomelytix is a startup that is dedicated to precision medicine for health and longevity - Worked under Professor Cecilia Lo; Summarized the results and reported to her weekly - Developed a pipeline to call rare variants from Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) data • Designed an online questionnaire to collect information (Demographic, fertility history and family history) and built the clinical information database for patients with Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) • Quality control, genome mapping, and alignment by Fastp, BAM MEM, and Samtools • Called variants and annotated by GATK Best Practices and ANNOVAR • Compared with known HCM gene list, and filtered candidate pathogenic HCM genes with various pathogenicity prediction algorithms and databases whose minor allele frequency is less than 0.01 • Dug into clinical significance, interpret the causative mutations and genes with Clinvar database
