About

I am a Chemical Engineering graduate from the National University of Singapore with a strong interest in process engineering within the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. My experience centers on understanding and improving process performance through root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving. During my internship, I investigated inconsistent experimental results and identified that intermittent pump stoppages led to polymer clogging within the system. By implementing continuous pump operation between runs, I improved process consistency and reliability. This experience strengthened my ability to translate observations into actionable engineering solutions. I also gained hands-on exposure to pilot plant systems, control room operations, and cleanroom practices (gowning and environmental monitoring) during my polytechnic training, providing foundational familiarity with controlled manufacturing environments. In addition, I have worked on process design and simulation projects involving mass and energy balances, reaction engineering, and separation processes. I am familiar with tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, and MATLAB. I am particularly interested in roles where I can contribute to process optimization, yield improvement, and operational stability in high-precision environments such as semiconductor manufacturing.

Experience

  • Customer Service Agent at SATS Ltd.
    Dec 2023 - Present · 2 yrs 7 mos

As a Customer Service Agent handling other airlines operations, my responsibilities come in two main categories: Departure and Arrival Handling. For Departure flights, I work together with other Customer Service Agents, Customer Services Officers, Crews and other department teams to ensure the smooth departure flow of passengers from the moment they walk through the doors of the Gate Hold Room, to the moment where the aircraft doors are closed for departure. This includes setting up the boarding systems, scanning of boarding passes, identity checks against travel documents, controlling passenger boarding flow, communication with the cabin crew and transport of documents from the Boarding Control Point to the aircraft, as well as any adhoc responsibilities to send off the flight on time, which include going out into the Departure Transit Area to find and escort passengers who risk being potential no-shows. For Arrival flights, my main responsibilities are to handover documents from the crew, as well as to ensure there are sufficient staff from the Special Services Section (SSS) for arrival passengers who have requested for wheelchair or Meet and Assist Service (MAAS) prior to arrival. In situations of tight turnaround, where there is a urgent need to have all passengers and crew out as soon as possible to push for an on-time departure of the next flight, I will also communicate with the departure team to ensure flow of information.

  • National service at The Digital and Intelligence Service
    Aug 2021 - Aug 2023 · 2 yrs 1 mo

I had the chance to serve my National Service in the newly formed Digital and Intelligence Service. In September 2022, I volunteered to lead a team of 5 to plan, coordinate and conduct a unit anniversary event for more than 100 people under the supervision of superiors. I also regularly volunteered to assist superiors with data processing using Microsoft excel.

  • Check-in Agent at Intercruises Shoreside and Port Services
    Dec 2017 - Aug 2021 · 3 yrs 9 mos

  • Engineering Intern at A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research
    Mar 2020 - Oct 2020 · 8 mos

Conducted research on electrospinning processes through literature review, experimental optimization, and materials characterization. Improved operational consistency by refining experimental protocols and optimized key parameters such as flow rate and voltage to produce defect-free fiber mats. Performed FTIR spectroscopy and in vitro digestion studies to evaluate encapsulation efficiency, stability, and controlled release behaviour. Managed multiple daily experiments and maintained structured datasets to support data-driven process analysis and optimization.
