Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. I have always been passionate about all things sport related. From playing a sport, to becoming a sports trainer, to practising strength and conditioning coaching, I have all areas covered. I grew up playing almost every sport imaginable: tennis, soccer, netball, basketball, volleyball and so many more. This makes my position as a trainer and aspiring physiotherapist very versatile. Currently, I am completing my Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. I am a qualified Sports and Exercise Scientist, Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy), Level 1 Sports Trainer and Personal Trainer. I simultaneously run my own baking business on the side too!! I aspire to help people fall in love with the sport they're playing. I know how hard it can be to recover from an injury and go back to being passionate about your sport, so it is my number one priority to make sure you never lose confidence or hope in what you are capable of achieving.
Interstate Sports Trainer for PAFC
Outpatient musculoskeletal placement which involved working with orthopaedic patients and helping them progress through their rehabilitation at both the acute and chronic stage of their recovery. I worked with a range of conditions/injuries including chronic back, post-ACLR, post-THR, post-TKR, general arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries, TSR and reverse-TSR. This placement allowed me to diversify my skills and treatment methods based on how the patient presents on the day rather than what is presented in a handover. This placement mainly consisted of conducting general orthopaedic assessments to help identify the relevant injury, exercise prescription to assist in rehabilitation and education on the basics of bone/tissue healing and rehabilitation expectations. I challenged myself through this opportunity by accepting an interstate placement where I had no family or friends for support, which demonstrated my commitment to learning and openness new experiences.
