My passion is to improve health equity for future generations with my critical research skills and knowledge concentration in diversity, equity, and inclusion that applies to public health. I have spent almost 2 years working with non-profit educational organizations and implicate my detailed-orientated abilities to identify improvements in program structures that will benefit the audience to take away what they can learn in the organizations that I have worked for.
- Outreached and promoted WPMG Healthcare Career Pathways pipeline programs to counselors, advisors, and faculty members for underrepresented minority college and recent graduate students in Washington state. - Facilitated two types of Virtual Rounds program, clinical shadowing & public health at Zoom to at least 25 URM college and recent graduate students about medical specialties and public health fields. - Evaluated and documented program reports after virtual sessions for improvements and feedback from students.
- Communicated with students & families via voice calls on assisting College Bound Scholarship and Summer Camps applications. - Coordinated with South King County middle and high schools to collaborate with WA colleges/universities for virtual college visits with college students. - Developed videos on Instagram about unboxing Husky STEM Kits that students can earn from participating the Husky STEM Challenges at Husky STEM Club. - Facilitated Kahoot activities during Husky STEM Club virtual events for students to introduce STEM topics and speakers.
- Responded to customer requests for products, services, and company information. - Communicated with vendors regarding backorder availability, future inventory, and special orders. - Liaised with customers, management, and sales team to better understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. - Answered customer telephone calls promptly to avoid on-hold wait times.
- Promoted students from the UW campus to join and participate in the organization's bi-weekly public meetings. - Presented cultural heritage knowledge during holiday-themed meetings. - Offered ideas to executive team members for improving quality meetings and adjusting fundraising.
