•Strategic and operational oversight of the Special Programs Unit including program development and administration, Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) administration and staff supervision •Grant research, development, writing, and submission for Federal, State, and local funders. •Provide leadership and guidance on effective strategies, processes and deliverables to the elected District Attorney in order to successfully implement new initiatives and integrate new capabilities within the DDAO

Member of a social sciences consortium focused on program evaluation in the Denver Metro Area. Evaluation activities included development of a randomized control trial to measure the effectiveness of a youth-centered intervention. Implemented qualitative and quantitative research methods during a two-year project period.
• Negotiated alliances between member agencies with the goal of improving the collaborative, multi-agency, response to drug endangered children and their families in the city and county of Denver • Sustained the efforts of the Initiative through the development of multiple Federal grant proposals resulting in over 12 million dollars in Federal funding from 2012 – 2016. • Worked with all relevant local agencies as a means of increasing child protection, reducing child maltreatment, and breaking the multi-generational cycle of crime and substance abuse • Participated in a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) focused on improving Denver’s response to child abuse and neglect
• Developed and coordinated multi-disciplinary cross-trainings, manuals, and sustainability planning for the Justice Initiative for Drug Endangered Families (JIDEF) • Managed operations for joint programs • Coordinated grant planning and the fulfillment of grant submissions and writings for publication • Led contact with all partner agencies to facilitate progression towards the goal of taking a pro-active and community- based approach to assist in identifying drug endangered children while at the same time using a best practices system to prevent abuse and neglect.
•Grant writing services focused primarily on criminal justice and child welfare •Grant proposal development and submission to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs, Office on Violence Against Women and Office for Victims of Crime, the Administration for Children, Youth and Families, and the US Department of Labor.
