As part of my Clinical Immersion Practicum I had the opportunity to work 12 hour shifts on a medical surgical unit directly under the supervision and guidance of a registered nurse. This experience enabled me to understand the roles and responsibilities of an RN while providing an environment to actively practice in the space between student and nurse.
