About

I am a senior IT sales leader with almost four decades’ experience building, leading and improving sales organisations across enterprise technology, cyber security, software and services. My work is focused on revenue growth, sales governance and the operational discipline needed to run a business with confidence. I help founders, CEOs, CROs and boards when growth slows, forecasting is unreliable, sales teams are underperforming, or the business is moving from founder-led selling into a scalable sales model. I bring practical operating experience rather than theory: recruiting and upgrading sales talent, establishing clear sales processes, improving pipeline quality, coaching managers and creating forecasting information that can be trusted for investment, cost control, restructuring or expansion decisions. My background includes senior leadership roles with Hewlett Packard Enterprise Security Products as UK Country Manager, Trend Micro Advanced Security Division as Vice President EMEA, and Symantec, a Division of Broadcom, as Director of Sales International across Europe and ANZ. At HP, I grew a business unit for the first time in three years, supported a successful divestiture, and continued to grow the business after acquisition despite expectations to the contrary. I have operated in large global organisations, SMEs and start-up environments, which gives me a clear view of what breaks as companies scale. I am direct about performance, comfortable making difficult people and structure decisions, and focused on the information leadership teams need to manage the business properly. I also bring a performance coaching perspective shaped by competitive motor racing and coaching, alongside a long corporate career. That experience has sharpened my approach to preparation, feedback, resilience and measurable improvement. I'm looking to support businesses in a NED and advisory capacity, as well as through fractional VP Sales, fractional Sales Director, fractional CRO, fractional Head of Sales and executive sales coaching roles where better sales leadership, governance and execution can materially improve performance.
