“If not me, who? If not now, when?” I’m a mechanical engineer with an MSc in polymers/materials, working at the intersection of circular packaging, polymer science, and technical communication. I split my time between two complementary roles: Sustainable Packaging & Circular Economy Consultant, helping companies and associations design realistic roadmaps for more recyclable and circular packaging. Content Director of Plastics Engineering (SPE- PLASTICS), where I lead technical editorial content for a global audience of engineers, researchers and industry leaders. In my consulting work, I focus on projects such as: -Assessing recyclability and system performance of primary and secondary packaging in real waste-management contexts (especially in Latin America). -Developing eco-design guidelines and practical tools (matrices, checklists, decision criteria) for packaging, sustainability and innovation teams. -Designing step-by-step improvement plans to move from complex, multi-material formats toward more circular, mono-material or better-designed packaging. On the editorial side, I: -Translate complex topics in polymers, sustainability, recycling, and regulation into clear, evidence-based content. -Curate editorial calendars, industry digests, and special issues around themes like advanced materials, circular design, and policy shifts. -Connect with industry leaders through interviews, conferences, and collaborative features. I’m particularly interested in work where science, regulation, and business realities collide, and where organizations need a neutral, technically sound voice to navigate trade-offs. If you’re working on circular packaging, recycling, or polymer-based innovation—and need both strategy and clarity—I’d be happy to connect.
The project aimed to assess the ecodesign and recyclability of the most important families of packaging in Colombia, identifying gaps between the leading actors in the country's circular economy of plastics.
