- Designed and managed an interdisciplinary research project on the human rights implications of North Korea's state-run IT worker program, integrating legal, security, forced labor, and transnational cyber dimensions. - Coordinated interdisciplinary research groups across legal, technological, and human rights perspectives, and developed open-source network analysis (OSINT) methods to map cross-border DPRK-linked illicit networks. - Managed the research team, overseeing daily logistics and drafting third-party funding proposals for research project and digital resilience workshops - Disseminated findings to governmental, academic, and civil society audiences, including embassies, NGOs, and private sector actors. - Presented results from the 33rd CRPD session at an international conference on R2P and Korean reunification, framing them in the context of potential crimes against humanity. - Expanded organizational networks through collaboration with international experts from universities, research institutes, and threat intelligence units.
- Contributed to UN human rights mechanisms on North Korean human rights issues, including the Universal Periodic Review, submissions to the UN Special Rapporteur on North Korea, a shadow report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), and meetings with UN human rights officers in Geneva and online. - Organized and co-hosted a two-day International Youth Workshop on inter-Korean relations, the Responsibility to Protect (R2P), and reunification in Seoul & Goseong. - Conducted and analyzed qualitative interviews with North Korean defectors on systematic human rights violations, adhering to high ethical standards in research with vulnerable communities. - Participated in UN Human Rights Council activities in Geneva, including preparations for a side event on crimes against humanity in North Korea's political prison camps.
