After finishing college , I stumbled upon a telesales position in a small independent flooring company called Ray James Flooring. This is where I started my journey in the flooring trade. I fulfilled a number of roles from internal sales to warehouse duties to delivery driver to transport to purchasing. I enjoyed working for the company and gained a valuable insight into all aspects of domestic and commercial flooring. After Ray James got taken over by Furlong Flooring , I embarked upon a sales career as Area Manager within the South Wales area. Three years down the line I moved to Westex Carpets which was invaluable in teaching me new products and new markets. An opportunity arose after four years to open my own business. I really enjoyed the experience of being in charge of my own company and learning to deal with a whole new type of sales environment. I sold the business after 15 successful years and decided to become a Sales Agent . As of the beginning of 2020 I have taken on the role with Unifloor covering the south of the UK. I have also taken on Project Floors through Wales and the South West areas .
