Within the Alumni Oil Group, including Africa New Energies Ltd. and RawAd Biogas Ltd., I was responsible for effectively crowd-funding small investors throughout the UK, South Africa and beyond. I was promoting and presenting Alumni's highly tax efficient E.I.S. investment opportunities, especially within the oil and gas exploration in Namibia, in order to maintain the project's momentum ensuring sufficient investment raising and acting as the focal point of Investor Liaison within my overall role as Investor Relations Director.
Having sold my 1st successful entrepreneurial business in early 2009, I have used my experience gained from the SME business sector to consult for a variety of business clients that have engaged my services with the sole objective of improving the performance of their own businesses. With core skills in the analysis of the financial performance of a business as well as a strong skillset in sales, marketing and purchasing I have successfully re-energised and streamlined many businesses via re-negotiating with suppliers to reduce costs, enhancing and developing supply chains, re-evaluating and re-defining effective marketing strategies as well as creating targeted and re-focussed sales strategies to increase both sales turnover without sacrificing margin or bottom line profit whilst still re-engaging employees through motivation and enhanced financial reward.
Where I was involved in the lengthy pre-purchase analysis of the entire Chelsea Yacht and Boat Club business, in order to submit a tender for the purchase of this business from the vendors which involved negotiating the price down to £4.3m whilst successfully arranging 100% commercial finance split between two city lenders, prior to my clients offer being accepted. Following this purchase, my role has extended and evolved to include a complete analysis and 'stripping down' of the business in order to evaluate its past and current financial performance in minute detail with the objective of identifying opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement, development of 'best practice' management, improve the CYBC branding and the marketing and development of the name within the businesses two main sales areas of new houseboat building and the leasing of prime location moorings for existing and new houseboat tenants, within the CYBC's central Thames; Where I was engaged to create a diversification strategy of their leisure activities by creating a business, marketing and financing plan that would allow for the expansion into, and creation of, a new branded Coffee Shop Chain, via the negotiation and acquisition of existing, mis-managed small business independent coffee shops with under-utilised potential given their great, high customer traffic, city locations. This was a £4.4m acquisition project for which 100% commercial and equity financing has been arranged and the project is on-going.
