• Advise students on what tools, processes and order of operations to use in order to make their designs. • Critique student’s designs to optimize manufacturability • Operate and perform maintenance on the CNC router, CNC milling machine, laser cutters, fiber laser, 3D printers, as well as manual wood and metal machinery.
•Worked with the owner to expand his knife sharpening business to restaurants and commercial kitchens. •Conducted numerous customer needfinding interviews to develop concepts for a scalable sharpening business model.
•Worked with Alexander Caftritz to research and identify business opportunities in the medtech industry. •Developed concepts for new medtech software products based on primary, secondary, and tertiary research. •Performed validation studies on concepts. •Conducted need-finding interviews with target customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Performed user research on hospital staff to identify needs and technical requirements. • Designed novel concepts for IV Transfer devices which minimized custom manufactured parts and complied with medical device standards. • Worked with owner and lead engineer to come up with a design strategy and optimize device manufacturing. • Created a novel, patentable mechanical design. My design work for Nexxspan began in the fall 2023 Gatech Health Design Studio, in which myself and a number of other students designed new product concepts for the company. As of January, Nexxspan hired me as a design contractor to continue my work from school in order to bring new products to market.
