Highly experienced podcast producer, radio producer and audio editor, breathing audio life into big subjects for the BBC, The Economist, The Times, The Sunday Times and others. I make podcasts and radio documentaries about politics, history, business, the arts and food, constructing audio that hooks in listeners, illuminates and entertains. My work in 2025 includes a Senior Producer role on the launch of The Business podcast for The Times and The Sunday Times, audio editing 'Ruthie's Table 4' episodes with Elton John, Tony Blair and Sarah Jessica Parker, producing 'Art that Conquered the World' for BBC Radio 4 and making editions of The Economist's Checks and Balance podcast on U.S. Politics.
My programmes for TBI Media - made with the wonderful Geoff Jein - include an edition of 'Archive on 4' for BBC Radio on the use of the word fascism, another 'Archive on 4' on the history of National Service, as well as art world projects 'Future Art' and 'All About Yves' , both presented by art historian James Fox.
As a freelance producer, I have made more than 40 radio documentaries, talks and discussion programmes for BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 3, BBC Sounds and BBC World Service. These include ARCHIVE ON 4 - THE OTHER F-WORD ( Radio 4 - 2023 ) I FEEL THEREFORE I AM ( Radio 4 - 2023 ) ALL ABOUT YVES ( Radio 4 - 2022 ) FUTURE ART ( Radio 4 - 2021 ) and CURATING THE FUTURE ( Radio 4 - 2020 ). I have made programmes about the lives of David Attenborough, the political career of Barack Obama, worked on editions of Melvyn Bragg's IN OUR TIME, Sangita Myska's POSITIVE THINKING and produced Jonathan Freedland's THE LONG VIEW as well as working on projects with BBC colleagues in Scotland and Wales.
Producing hundreds of high-profile radio documentaries and live shows for BBC Radio 4 and Radio 3, I raced the M25 with James May, explored English identity with Andrew Marr, talked parenting with Mariella Frostrup and explored the English language with Michael Rosen. I made dozens of editions of 'Last Word' with Matthew Bannister and 'The Long View' with Jonathan Freedland and a diverse range of arts, history and current affairs documentaries, many my own commissions. As a result, I inspected the housing market with Evan Davis, found the funny side of the insurance industry with Marcus Brigstocke and exposed cracks in the financial system six months before the crash of 2008. I produced Darcus Howe, Sadiq Khan and Michael Portillo, I made arts documentaries for Radio 3 in Beijing, Moscow and Maputo, travelled the East Coast of the US to trace the history of the American Civil War and recorded in both art galleries and refugee camps in Beirut.
