Assisted Dr. Katherine Puttgen in Pediatric Dermatology with duties that included rooming patients, assisting with procedures ranging from cryotherapy to excision of skin cancers, administering local anesthesia, initiating prior authorizations, responding to patients messages, managing referrals, sterilizing surgical instruments, sending letters, sending faxes, creating appointments, proposing medications, proposing orders, utilizing electronic medical record systems of ICentra as well as Epic, giving injections, calculating cosmetic costs, exercising time management, applying appropriate ICD 10/CPT codes to diagnosis as well as procedures, training new hires, tracking biopsies on Excel, designated safety coach for team, multitasking, clinical coach, and scribing.
Assisted 30 Pulmonologists at the Intermountain Medical Center with rooming patients, taking vitals, updating patient information, conducting blood draws, administering immunizations, assessing patients oxygen needs, scheduling appointments, creating oxygen scripts, practicing time management, responding to emergencies in the clinic, proposing medications to physicians, restocking clinical supplies, scanning documents, sending faxes, and communicating with staff for exceptional patient care.
Assisted 5 teachers from various classroom settings with academics, behavior management, hygiene, independent living, social, fine, motor, cognitive, and gross skills of over 30 students from ages 7-22.
Managed the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) program with 4 children in their homes located within the Salt Lake region. These therapies included behavior management, independent living strategies, and social skills development.
Implemented over 30 activities such as sport games, music, sensory, fine, gross, motor, and crafts weekly. Supervised overall wellness of 3 staff members and 10 campers.
