Understanding people and technology and with global experience in over half a dozen industries I assist executives in leading their organizations. This includes truly understanding their environment, refining their strategy and successfully transforming them by reaching out to people and inviting them to join the way. I had been diving deep into information technology in the 1990ies. Entering the 21st century, however, it became clear that the real benefit of technology does not ensue from simply improving efficiency of existing processes, but from its potential to find and establish entirely new ways of working. Rapid change has become a constant, but humans are not built for that. In the globalized and digitized VUCA world that we live in today, complexity is continuously increasing. Big data and modern communication technology help setting new standards in interacting with customers and therefore drive business models. Personal needs (thankfully) are taken into account more than ever where businesses compete for the best talent. Work-life-balance, purpose and an environment allowing for personal growth are more relevant these days than power or pay when starting and pursuing a career.
