Program administration and support to schools and local educational agencies across California, requiring knowledge of state and federal laws and policies in education. Assignments have included work with instruments and training for state Program Quality Review for secondary schools, Focus on Learning Joint Process with CDE and WASC; state and regional supervision and technical assitance for business education/Carl Perkins programs; consultant liaison for California Curriculum Commission meetings, agenda development, and committee assignments, consultant support of review of curriculum materials for state adoption; writing of budget change proposals; consultant for after school, K-12, and work with regional leads for after school, contract manager for three-year research study of high school after school program; consultant development of three-year project to develop, with work group representing 30 LEAs, array of tools, Webinars, conference presentations, and technical assistance support for implementation of NCLB Title I requirements for Supplemental Educational Services and public school choice transportation costs; state reviewer of Title I state EIA support efforts in schools and districts in multiple regions of state.
Florin High School start-up team; Asst. Div. Leader for Math, Science, Technology; established career pathways across career technical education areas; developed and led Calif. Partnership Academy (BET) with interdisciplinary faculty as school-within-school with mission for college- and career- readiness for student population representing cross-section of school population.
Collaborate with School of Business and School of Education in teacher preparation requirements for business education. Establish student teacher assignments for business education in high schools of Sacramento region; supervise student teachers in business education credential program; design and teach methods course in business education and integration of technology for business education curriculum.
