About

Baron Dr. rer. nat. h.c. Rudolph Andries Ulrich Juchter van Bergen Quast, KJH, LLM is a regulated legal advisor, scholar, and co-founder of Van Bergen 1795, an haute horlogerie maison that translates 230 years of Dutch bell-founding craftsmanship into mechanical wristwatches featuring a sophisticated gong mechanism that acoustically tells the time. As the grandson of Dipl. Ing. Andries Heero van Bergen V - the final master bellfounder of the Heiligerlee foundry - he inherited a legacy that produced internationally awarded carillons for European royalty and John D. Rockefeller Jr. Following the foundry's final cast in 1980, Juchter van Bergen Quast took on the responsibility of preserving this heritage, directly bridging the family's historical mastery of monumental bronze bells with modern horology through these striking timepieces. Since 2018, Juchter van Bergen Quast has led the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands as its CEO. His dedication to business development earned him a doctorate honoris causa in natural sciences. His professional financial reach also extends into the City of London, where he is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. As a corporate legal advisor, he is regulated by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. His long-standing legal and commercial career includes serving as an advocaat at the Bar of the Supreme Court of The Netherlands (2008–2016) and subsequently holding rights of audience at the International Arbitration Centre and the Astana International Financial Centre Court.
