I've been in the transportation industry for over 21 years, started my career in 2004 at a major logistics company and worked my way up. In that time, I've performed every responsibility successfully from driver to manager. My responsibilities have included package car driver, delivery trucking, supervisor and manager as well as working on special projects as an owner/operator. I am always looking for a challenge in my professional career. My goals are to get the best out of my employees as well as myself so they can go home each day feeling accomplished and proud of the work they do. Responsible for managing DHL’s Largest Northern NJ facility with a EWR ramp operation, 12 Supervisors and 250 Union workforce including agent, ramp , warehouse, and linehaul operations. Footprint consisted of 8+ northern NJ counties with 130 routes being dispatched daily. Manage the measurement, monitoring and actions for improvement. Ensure Operations team remain within cost targets and seek means by which to manage costs whilst maintaining/improving service and productivity levels. Roll out projects to address regional and network imperatives and programs. Implement the Operations component of Annual Operating plans in tandem with the Regional strategies. Ensure operational practices and procedures are compliant with regional and network operation policies. Develop a high performance service culture within the functional department. Plan, organize and direct and efficient and effective functional department. Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
Responsible for managing DHLs upstate NY facility with a team of 3 Supervisors and 50 person union workforce; including agent, ramp, warehouse and line haul operations. Footprint consisted of 6 counties in upstate New York which we serviced with a customer centric mindset, providing top rated service to successfully meet client needs. Improved route productivity by restructuring entire footprint to improve density and reaching a 10% increase in stops per vehicle. Managed DHL-SWF facility during global pandemic and maintained a positive outlook to motivate workforce through difficult times. Developed short and long term plans to support and improve safety on road which lead to a 43% improvement in reducing accident cost and 36% improvement in reducing injury cost. Operations supervisor with 18 total years of experience in AM inbound, PM outbound and HUB operations. Dynamic and results oriented business leader with the ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team through respect. Successfully managed AM and PM warehouse operations employing both union and independently contracted business partners, cross docking activities and supply inventory. I was able to increase the efficiency of all scanning, sorting and loading systems, to ensure that trucks and aircraft departures were on time. Synchronized across multiple departments internally, and collaborated with external consultants including IT professionals and Industrial Engineers to improve key performance indicators.
