As a driven and innovative individual, I am currently on the cusp of completing my international PhD in developing cutting-edge machine learning methods for image and signal analysis in the composite materials field. With a background in the aerospace industry and IT consultancy, I have been able to seamlessly transition into the world of data analysis. My skill set and passion for exploring novel approaches in artificial intelligence have allowed me to make significant contributions in the field, and I am excited to continue improving and develop new solutions.
PhD in Machine Learning methods, Nondestructive inspection and Materials science. MAT4.0 Research program • Developing datasets of defects in composite materials > Data preprocessing: exploration, visualization, cleaning and etc. • X-ray computed tomography (XCT) and ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections. > Perform XCT image auxiliary tasks (Equalization, volume concatenation...) > Design and conduct UT testing. Water pulse-echo, Air transmission, and Phased array sistems. > Image and signal analysis related to XCT & UT. • Develop data-driven methodologies to relate XCT and UT data. > Relate defect characterization through data fusion. (Image registration, estimation of properties) • Image and signal analysis using python and Fiji: > Compute properties in signal data (FFT, analytical signal, peaks analysis...) > Develop automatic segmentation algorithms: local thresholds, deep learning (CNNs) etc. > Develop defect characterization. Automatic measurement of image properties (lenght, area, orientation...) • Responsible in a project with a external company: > Analysis of technology transfer opportunities. > Team and project management. • Proactive and colaborative profile: > Search for a collaboration in the ultrasonic field. > PhD stay at Fraunhofer IZFP.
PhD stay. • Develop deep learning segmentation models for Ultrasonic testing. • Develop image registration approaches. • Design and conduct UT testing. Water pulse-echo, Air transmission, and Phased array systems.
