Led, directed and controlled the sales and service activities of the Brazilian Business Unit -130 employees including Argentina - so that it achieved its short and long term financial and operating objectives. Responsible for the full P&L. Designed and implemented a strategic growth plan for Brazil supported by an organization closer to customers and initiatives on retaining and regaining after sales business. 10% YoY growth during this period.
• Directed all tactical supply chain, logistics and manufacturing operations in multi sites located in NAM (Keene, NH and Atlanta, GA) / LAM (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico) producing $350MM of revenue. • Led regional activities encompassing sourcing, procurement, sales & operations planning, transportation & distribution, imports and exports, customer service, assembly of printers (Made To Order) and manufacturing of chemicals. • Defined supply chain & logistics organization structure, aligned roles & responsibilities and led cultural alignment efforts • Responsible for implementing Health, Safety, & Environment regulatory compliance with focus on EPA, OSHA, and REACH guidelines. • Developed the regional logistics strategy and delivered roadmap with key initiatives: o Setup a 3PL distribution center in Atlanta (UPS) to improve service to EMEA, LAM and ASPAC customers. o Consolidation manufacturing sites in one location to streamline investments and efficiency. o Deployment of EDI ordering process with LAM distributors to improve order flow management. o Outsourcing of non-core activities to local suppliers. • Led cross-functional S&OP meetings to improve both forecast accuracy and organizational alignment. • Drove Cost reductions (2M$) in direct/indirect procurement, efficiency and productivity savings to improve margins. • Directed the organizations and operational strategies and best practices to continuously deliver exceptional customer service and meet costs objectives: achievement of 98%+ on-time delivery, lead-time per service-level agreements (SLA), inventory levels reduction (-10% DOS) through best practices implementation. Maintained out-of-box quality levels at less than 0.15%, suppliers service level at 90% or more. • Co-led SAP ERP implementation in the supply chain sites in Atlanta and Keene comprised of 176 North America employees.
Implemented and managed the logistics regional platform to serve North American and Latin American markets: Assembly of printers and manufacturing of chemicals inks and solvents, logistics -local procurement, inventory management, S&OP, transport and freight negotiation, imports and exports, warehousing- as well as customer service. Delivered a facility-wide quality program to reduce logistics claims, promote continuous improvement, and implement a safety program for work and safety standards to ensure compliance. Achieved on-time delivery rate of over 98%, 6+ ITO turns, and lead-time per SLA and managed the performance and activities of 14 employees.
Responsible for setting up and starting up the subsidiary in Mexico, with full P&L responsibility.
