I am specialized n the management of individual and collective labour matters as well in trade union disputes. I have represented national and international clients in important union disputes from different sectors, advising on labour aspects in the acquisition and sales of companies, privatisations and have served as counsel to countless companies in all the labour regulatory issues. I joined Santamarina y Steta in 1986 and became a partner in 1997. I am currently the head of the labour and employment practice of the firm. I am a member of the Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados and the Employment Law Alliance. I was educated at the Universidad Iberoamericana with a specialisation in labour law, amparo and corporate law from the Universidad Panamericana. I collaborated at Baker Botts in Houston, Texas in 1992.

EXPERIENCE: + Provided advice in conflicts derived from the mining accident at Pasta de Conchos, Coahuila, in representation of Industrial Minera Mexico. + Provided advice to Arneses y Accesorios de México for the handling of an entitlement lawsuit presented by the National Union of Mining, Metallurgic and Similar Workers of the Republic of Mexico, against the company and the union acting as holder in a collective contract. + Provided advice to Teskid Hierro Mexico for the handling of an entitlement lawsuit presented by the National Union of Mining, Metallurgic and Similar Workers of the Republic of Mexico, against the company and the union acting as holder in a collective contract. + Represented a major Mexican airline in the process of restructuring its collective agreements with the Trade Union Association of Air Pilots.
