Execute slip ring design process in an efficient and effective manner. Manage the engineering department personnel, including Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, Test Technicians, and Administrative Assistants on a daily basis ensuring all activities are timely and accurately addressed. Prepare engineering analysis for projects including assisting and following the document control processes, preliminary designs, calculations, and reviews of initial production runs of components and assemblies, specification and performance requirements, and assist and follow the process to determine which designs can be produced using existing manufacturing process and methods.
Actively participate in the research, development, and improvement of new and existing products for controlling AC and DC motors for traction and propulsion in marine, vehicular, mining, light and heavy rail, and off-road applications. Conduct thermodynamic and power electronics experiments and research related to the company products. Lead technicians and production personnel in setting up test fixtures, specialty product manufacturing, and testing. Perform on site commissioning and lead system installation for projects in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Perform CFD analyses to validate heat transfer and cooling experiments. Design and execute heat transfer and cooling experiments related to the company's and parent company's products. Support Sales and Marketing with technical and language skills as required.
