Provide Strategic Leadership and Operational accountability for 50+ countries across Europe (32 countries) and Sub-Saharan Africa (21), covering the 4 business segments in Mars: Petcare (including brands like Pedigree®, Whiskas®, etc.), Chocolate (M&M’s®, Twix®, Snickers®, etc.), Wrigley (Orbit ®, Sugus®, Skittles®, etc.) and Food (Uncle Ben’s®, Dolmio®, Royco®, etc.). Leading a large business integration in Mars by merging Wrigley and Mars legacy across the region.
I was responsible for the General Managers in charge of the following countries: Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark), Poland, Checz&Slovak, Netherlands, France, Belgium&Luxemburg, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Malta&Cyprus as well as Global International Retail (including the Duty Free business at airports, catering services for airlines, etc.)
I led the integration of the Chocolate and Ice Creams business (brands like Mars, Twix, Maltesers, M&M's, etc.) coming from Mars into the Chewing Gum and Confections (brands like Orbit, Solano, Skittles, Sugus, Boomer, Five Gum, etc.) business in Wrigley. It was the first example of Merge (in the shape of reverse integration) for Mars Inc after the Wrigley acquisition in October 2008.
I led the turnaround of the Mars business in Spain. The business is called Multisales business since it includes the three core Segments for Mars, being Chocolate&Ice Creams (Twix, M&M's, Maltesers, Mars, Bounty, etc,), Petcare (Pedigree, Whiskas, Sheba, Cesar, Perfect Fit, etc.) and Food (Uncle Ben's, Suzi Wan, etc.)
