Starting as Data Engineer in 2005, I have been able to build and improve my skills to become a one stop Engineer for all your BI needs : - Extracting / Transforming / Loading Data into a Data Warehouse - Analysing Data : discovering patterns, trends. - Visualizing Data : showing and telling a story through graphs and numbers. With the added bonus of being able to improve every step (aggregating data directly into the DWH for a future graph, adding missing data necessary for use cases, migrating rules from Power BI to the DWH to improve user experience, etc). I am looking for a job as a Data Engineer / Analyst or above (head of data or similar) Freelancing and full remote only.
Working as a Data Engineer on John Lewis' partnership data platform. Using snowflake, dbt, GCP, airflow, python, gitlab to build pipelines. Implementing also the ops part of it : "you build it, you run it" : performance, logs, dashboards, incidents, reporting, etc Using and leveraging AI (Copilot, Gemini, le chat, chatGPT) to improve my efficiency and gains for John Lewis.
Worked on migrating from Teradata to GCP (BigQuery): - Create / Optimize SQL queries in Teradata / GCP - Create notebooks for comparing Teradata / GCP data, viewing patterns, securing data quality - Automate in Python / Airflow - Manage a team of 10 people - Train colleagues in SQL / Python From the start of the mission : - Working as a Data Engineer on Teradata (implementing / tuning SQL, implementing data loading/transformation pre-requisites for BI repoting, keeping the model efficient) - Working with teamates across France / Morocco - Working on-site/remotely - Implementing automation via Python / shell scripting - Improving response-time / user experience on MSBI / PowerBI - maintaining ABinitio workflows.
