ISACA® (www.isaca.org) is a global professional association and learning organization that leverages the expertise of its 190,000+ members who work in digital trust fields such as information security, governance, assurance, risk, privacy and quality. It has a presence in 188 countries, including 228 chapters worldwide (46 in Europe). Through the ISACA Foundation, ISACA supports IT education and career pathways for under-resourced and underrepresented populations. I coordinate the European network of Chapters and Chapter Leaders, identifying opportunities to boost our presence, impact and collaboration.
Taric S.A. is an independent firm created in 1987. From its inception the company has been closely associated with the implementation of information technologies in the field of foreign trade. The provision of services and efficient solutions for trade operators in a context of frequent changes, as result of the integration of Spain in the European Community, was one of the very first activities of the company. Today, TARIC provides a wide range of software solutions to manage information on customs tariffs and import-export procedures to more than one thousand Spanish companies and other international, private and public, institutions. My task, within the framework of the EU Helpdesk-website (http://exporthelp.europa.eu/index_en.html) is to help provide information on legislation, tariffs and authorities of both The Netherlands and Malta.
