* Manage the Innovation Think Tank of the EEX Group (created in 2016) with a focus on digitalization (blockchain, cloud, data analytics and data visualisation), decarbonification, and decentralization. * Push the development of Powernext into renewable energies through mainly the French Guarantees of Origin registry (certification of green electricity) and French Registry of Energy Savings Certificate * Negotiate and establish a gas strategic alliance under the brand name PEGAS with EEX (European Energy Exchange) to offer on the same platform French, German and Dutch Gas products (Fall 2013). Negotiate with DG Competition and other national authorities. * Following the success of PEGAS, negotiate and manage the integration of Powernext into the EEX Group in 2015 (EEX acquired 100% of Powernext) and the transfer of all EEX gas activities to Powernext * Expand PEGAS activities to 9 countries (France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic) and soon Spain
Member of the Powernext Executive Committee in charge of strategy and business development. - Lead business development of Powernext in natural gas Grow the business activity from a national gas exchange in a minor market to a leading pan-European gas exchange by coordinating all internal and external teams. - Lead diversification strategy of Powernext into new areas Develop a culture of business innovation into the company and change the company baseline to "Powering the next markets". Map, explore and implement with a newly dedicated team (skunk works approach) business opportunities outside Powernext core activities which lead to major launches : • National Guarantee of Origin registry for France in order to certify green electricity production in France • IT system for the National Registry of Electricy Capacity Certificates for RTE (key system to manage electricity peak demand in France) • Energy saving certificates (white certificates) market to meet energy reduction targets set by the French government • Enermet : Pan-European weather forecast data platform (wind, solar, hydro, temperature) in partnership with Meteo-France • Studies to extend Powernext services to other activities not pursued : meat (in partnership with French Ministry of Agriculture), milk, biodiesel, biomass (woodpellets), freight... - Lead fight against VAT fraud in European energy markets Coordinate action to avoid a multi-billion fraud in France and Europe. Coordination with energy stakeholders (Ministry, Regulator, Transmission system operators, utilities) to deter the fraud in France in link with law enforcement authorities (French custom, tax investigation unit, intelligence services, Tracfin). Convince French tax authorities to change energy VAT rules in France (February 2012). Gather and lead lobbying effort between the 10 largest European energy association and Europol to convince European Commission to pass a directive to change VAT rules for energy (voted in June 2013).
