Leading a team of 4 resources in R&D and pilot production plant of Tesla’s 4680 dry electrode cell. Team focused on developing quick turn around manufacturing equipment prototypes for improvement in powder conveyance.
Head of Engineering and Maintenance departments in Garland-TX site. Managed a team of 21 engineers and technicians focused on installing, commissioning, maintaining and improving a 24/7 mixing and packaging facility
New process development, plant design, CAPEX management and installation/commissioning support for start-up of mixing and filling/packaging lines in brownfield 160,000sf facility.
-Responsible in Zobele Brazilian Site for the Manufacturing Engineering area; -Responsible for new equipment installation, plant layout expansion, LEAN related activities, team hiring, development of new suppliers for equipment, management of key indicators as labor efficiency, energy consumption, recycling, OEE, etc... -Direct contact with customers from Global Companies as Reckitt Benckiser and Procter & Gamble; -Improvements in the maintenance area in terms of TPM (spare parts management, preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance); -Cost improvements on the process based on Kaizen activities; -Start-up of new production lines for cosmetic filling and packaging since the development with suppliers until the approval with customer. -Several trips to Europe, Asia and North America to attend meetings, trainings and machinery FAT.
-Development of documentation for new products submission with customers (PPAP); -Management of action plans related to improvements on the product quality and process efficiency; -Project and implementation of several new error proofing devices (Poka-Yoke) and also a system to manage all the error proofing devices on the plant, allowing quality assurance on production; -Responsible for the General Motors QSB pillar Error Proofing Devices Management; -Technical responsible for two spot welding robotized assemble lines.
-PM (Project Management): new tooling and fixture devices for CNC machining process, improvements in several work stations on the assembling lines, retrofitting in old equipment; -Member of the development team for new steering systems, representing manufacturing engineering area; -Responsible in the engineering area for the analysis of product modification impact on the manufacturing process; -Responsible for the General Motors QSB pillar FMEA.
-Project and improvement in machining and assembling processes; -Assistant in the development and revision of the process documentation; -Project management regarding cost reduction initiatives in terms of machining tools.
