Joyce Socao is the Managing Director & CEO for the ASEAN region of TIME MEDICAL SYSTEMS which manufactures cutting edge MRI Systems that are US FDA registered. She is concurrently the CEO of Digihealth Specialists, Inc. that specializes in disruptive healthcare technologies; and a Partner at Mercatus Capital (Singapore). Joyce is also the Founding CEO of HealthCORE—the Center for Global Healthcare Management, Quality Accreditations, and Medical Tourism in the Philippines. HealthCore provides consultancy services and trainings to facilitate accreditation on international healthcare and hospitality management standards that include ISO, Joint Commission International, Accreditation Canada, NABH International, Swiss Approval, and TEMOS. From 2011-2017, she served as Country Head in the Philippines for the Aster DM Healthcare group with the primary responsibility of setting up a chain of ambulatory clinics and managing its Foundation. A staunch advocate of Medical Travel, Wellness Tourism and Global Competitiveness, Joyce has led various initiatives in the Philippines by partnering with the government and private sectors in the development and promotion of the country’s Health Tourism Program and in the capability and capacity building of the country's healthcare and tourism organisations towards global competitiveness. In 2012, she was Contributing Editor at the Philippine Daily Inquirer for the special section on Philippines Health & Wellness Travel. She co-hosted a radio program in DWIZ 882 titled "Galing Mo Pinoy, Ganda Mo Pinas" advocating Filipino talents and Philippines' tourism destinations, among others. Prior to these, she spent 12 years in investment banking that includes ABN AMRO, HSBC and ING Barings. Later on she led an integrated marketing communications firm for several years and had a short stint in the government as Vice President for International Marketing at the Philippines' Tourism Promotions Board. Joyce's multi-faceted experiences make her a well-sought after speaker in several conferences, including TEDx, and juror for award-giving bodies, locally and internationally.
