Greater Chicago Area
I've been in the Audio Visual field for 17 years at 3 different educational institutions in multiple capacities. I've shot, directed, edited and produced videos for lectures, concerts, and promotional pieces. As a side project, I directed the documentary Chicago's Only Castles: The History of Givins' Irish Castle and Its Keepers. As times have changed, my work has shifted gears from circulation of equipment to managing their installation; from repairing pieces of equipment to troubleshooting racks of equipment; and from overseeing maintenance schedules to problem-solving software applications. Overseeing the workload and responsibilities for the entire department, I was able to improved the quality of service to faculty, staff, and student by creating a culture of reliability and showing respect for people who may not be familiar with the area that we are helping them in. I'm Hard-working, Knowledgable, and Organized and will do what ever it takes to see projects through. I don't give up at the end of a work day. I plan ahead so that I can see problems coming, so that I resolve them before they happen. I pretty much put out fires before anyone notices. As an EAVA Certified technician with a ton of experience with media and production equipment, I have become the “Go-To Guy who had the answers.”
