Boulder, Colorado, United States
I’m a husband, a dad, a professional singer, teacher, and creator who’s spent decades performing at the highest levels and building spaces for others to discover their voices. Equal parts performer, teacher, entrepreneur. Performance & Career I’ve sung on some of the world’s biggest stages — Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center Festival, and on international tours in China, Italy, and Brazil. I’ve shared stages with 50 Cent, Paul McCartney, Julie Taymor, and Kelli O’Hara, and my voice has been featured in films, TV, and video game soundtracks. My training spans three decades under world-class pedagogues. Teaching & Impact At my core, I’m a teacher. Through Boulder Voice Lessons and my online platform Sing with Josh, I teach over 1,500 lessons a year. My teaching style blends rigorous technique with humor, creativity, and confidence-building. I don’t just train voices — I help students of all ages become storytellers, build community, and feel free and powerful in their singing. Entrepreneur & Creator I’ve built courses, run online academies, launched podcasts, created Insight Timer tracks, produced recitals, and continue to experiment with ways to inspire more singers. I think in systems and in stories — always looking for new ways to connect music with the human experience in performance. The Maker Side Beyond music, I’m a builder and tinkerer. Woodworking, 3D printing, DIY electronics, sound design, and home projects are part of my creative process. Whether I’m soldering a speaker crossover or coaching vowels, I bring the same curiosity and hands-on approach. The Through-Line If there’s one thing that ties it all together, it’s this: I love unlocking potential. Whether it’s a student’s voice, a piece of music, a business idea, or a project in the garage — I thrive on taking raw material and shaping it into something beautiful, useful, and inspiring. In Art, Josh
