As an Ex-VP of Citibank's Commercial Digital Banking and Parity Technologies, Joshua is passionate about an inclusive future for financial services and the free internet. (Fintechs / Web3 Tech) His role with Mantle is to lead product for protocol research & development. Mantle is an institutional Web3 brand with key strengths. Mantle Network, the 4th largest Ethereum Layer 2 is focused on efficient, secure transactions for institutional adoption. The network is also home to one of the largest treasury DAOs, with over $4.9 billion in assets (Originally contributed by Peter Thiel, Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, Dragonfly Capital, Spartan Group, Jump Capital, ByBit and many more). Passionate as a computer scientist (i.e. a nerd) and macroeconomist, he is keen to develop machine learning frameworks and blockchain development toolsets. His recent exploration is in Zero Knowledge (ZK), alternative ISAs (RISC-V), more performant EVMs, foundational models (LLMs) and monetary economics (study in global liquidity dynamics). In his free time, he hacks out prototypes in Web3 hackathons. He won 4 times at these competitions - even just recently in 2024. He graduated from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge where he studied how private & public sector firms collaborate and commercialise emerging technologies. He is both a Commonwealth Scholar for Innovation, and an Industry Scholar supported by Singapore's Central Bank, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
